AVSAR is an on-call volunteer rescue team. We participate in all types of rescues and recoveries. We have yearly trainings to keep our team up to date with the most current information, avalanche refresher courses, and most importantly making sure we all know how to work together as a team appropriately and efficiently.
Inasmuch we rely on your help to keep us operational through your tax-deductible donations. All funds received will help us maintain our equipment such as radios, litters, ropes, and many other supplies we may use during our time assisting others. We really appreciate all donations as we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer rescue team. As volunteers we use all of our own personal gear while out on searches, rescues, and recoveries. We typically will try and update our equipment when funds are available to us. Equipment such as radios, batteries, litters, and any other vital equipment we may need as a team while out there.
