Here is our process overview
Thank you for your interest in joining an AVSAR Winter Team! Specifically this section is used to apply for our Winter Below Treeline (WB) and Winter Above Treeline (WA) teams.
Winter team applications are collected and reviewed for completeness during a set period (in the fall). Applicants are chosen based on the strength of their application, availability, references, and the needs of the team.
That said, to join one of our winter teams, start here. You will need to first review our WA and WB Applicant Conditions to learn if you qualify. You will then need to review again our Applicant Expectations describing the reality of SAR.
Important Note: Submission deadline for the current year is November 1st and we will not reach out to you until shortly thereafter. If applying after that date don’t expect a response until the following year.
